2. Use of this website
This portfolio website provides information about my professional profile, selected projects and contact options. It uses no user accounts, advertising, first-party tracking, analytics or newsletter feature. The embedded YouTube video is loaded only after explicit activation; details are provided in section 6.
3. Server log files
When this website is accessed, the hosting provider may process technically necessary access data, including IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating system information. This processing is used to provide, secure and stabilize the website.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of this website.
4. Hosting
This website is hosted on infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany.
5. Display preference
When you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is stored locally in your browser under the key “theme”. It is used only to restore your selected display on later page views and is not read for analytics or advertising.
6. Embedded YouTube video
The tech talk preview image is served directly by this website. A connection to YouTube through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain is made only after you select the play button. In particular, your IP address, browser information and this website's domain may then be transmitted to Google.
Loading is based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent applies only to the current page view. You can withdraw it for the future by reloading the page and not activating the video again. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.

If you contact me by email or phone, I process the contact details you provide, the content of your message or conversation and related technical metadata to respond to your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If a request relates to entering into or performing a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR is an additional legal basis.
8. Data subject rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
